Malaysia's Computing Professionals Bill requires all IT professionals to be certified
A proposed Computing Professionals Bill in Malaysia will require all IT professionals to be certified. This would mean programmers can only code in languages they were taught and certified. Being a IT professional myself, I know universities usually do not teach students the programming languages that developers usually use in the real working industry. What universities impart is the foundation and the ability to self-learn in this very fluid and ever-changing IT industry. Should this law passes, it is going to be a problem to many.
It is unclear how many people the law will affect as “the definition is so vague, it could even include bloggers, e-commerce entrepreneurs or even anyone with a Facebook page,” said Vijandren.
Even Hitler is unhappy with the Bill.
