Defiant Singaporeans ignore policemen and continue making noises as a form of celebrating Thaipusam.
Malaysians carried on with their once-a-year Thaipusam celebration without police intervention.
Should events like Malay weddings, lion dances, or even funerals in void decks be banned? Banning devotees not making noises in a religious celebration or tradition is neither racial nor religious harmonious to me.
